Target audience: The course is intended for NFP Alumni from South East Asia, mainly, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Thailand. Alumni from other countries from the region can also apply. Alumni are allowed to invite colleagues, if well motivated and to a limited extent.
The course targets NFP alumni who are housing professionals occupying positions in different sectors of society, namely local and national government, private sector and NGOs. Participants will be chosen according to their professional experience in one or more of the following topics: housing and human settlement planning, housing technologies, environmental planning, green technologies and gender planning.
The course is also addressed to those alumni working in academic and research institutions who are interested in sustainable housing and the relationship between housing and the environment (e.g. climate change, disaster risk management, etc)
Objectives: The main objective of the course is to build amongst participants a clear understanding of the relationship between housing, poverty, vulnerability and climate change.
Specifically, the course aims at building an understanding of how vulnerable groups are affected and play a role in shaping necessary planning interventions, development strategies and policy formulation, which are in line with international, national and local concerns dealing with the creation of sustainable and resilient human settlements.
Course curriculum:
• Introduction: The meaning of urban sustainability from the perspective of housing.
• Module One: Sustainable housing policy and planning
• Module Two: Challenges to sustainable housing: climate change adaptation and mitigation through resilient housing strategies
• Module Three: The role of vulnerable groups in sustainable housing and climate change
• Module Four: Sustainable human settlements and gender equality: policy, planning and implementation
• Conclusion: Groups’ recommendations on the way forward to disseminate the experience and knowledge gained in resilient housing strategies.
The course includes, among others, lectures in sustainable housing technologies, disaster risk management, and resilient communities.
The course is a combination of lectures, guided debates, site visits to institutions and relevant projects, presentation of papers by participants, and group work.
Admission requirements: A motivation statement expressing how the course will contribute to one’s professional development, and when applicable the link of past and/or current professional experience and academic research in one or more of the main themes of the course

We would like to invite our alumni to join another movienight at Nuffic Neso Thailand. "Sonny Boy" tells a true love story about two ordinarary people. On the 24th of May 2012 Nuffic Neso Thailand organized a study in Holland information session combined with a Dutch movie "afblijven". We would like to thank everyone for their interest and participation.

On 15 March 2011, Nuffic Neso Thailand screened the movie "The Girl with the Pearl Earring ". THe movienight was in collaboration with the Study in Holland moviesession. More than 30 alumni and interested students participated at the event, therefore we would like to thank everyone for there interest.
The movie that was screened was about Johannes Vermeer, acknowledged as one of the greatest painters in the Dutch Golden age. Johannes Vermeer born in 1632, Delft, the Netherlands is well known for his baroque arts painting styles. His famous master pieces “Milkmaid” and “Girl with the Pearl Earring”can be admired at the Mauritshuis in the Hague and has been inspired by many artists.
Film director, Mr. Peter Webber was one of them, fictionalizing the circumstances of the painting’s creation through a movie “Girl with a Pearl Earring”

On friday, 3 February 2012, The netherlands Alumni association Thailand will celebrate their 40th anniversary. To celebrate this big event we would like to invite all Dutch alumni and their friends and family to join and celebrate NAAT's "back to the 70's party". Nuffic Neso Thailand Movie night presented “Oesters van Nam Kee” on Wednesday, 25 May 2011 The movie was specially hosted for alumni and students.
On Wednesday 27th of April 2011, the NAAT Board Committee hosted a farewell luncheon for H.E. Mr. Tjaco van den Hout, the Netherlands ambassador to Thailand, to thanks him for his kind support to our alumni organization and wish him and his family all the best.

On behalf of the NAAT members we would like to congratulate Dr. Wicha Jiwalai becoming the new president of the Netherlands Alumni Association Thailand under the Royal Patronage of Princess Sirindhorn. The NAAT held it's Annual General Meeting on the 17th of February 2011 at the Miracle Grand, Bangkok. The meeting was followed by a nice dinner where alumni could share their study experiences from the past and had opportunities to sing with eachother.
Tulip Night is a reunion event which has been organized once every 2 years, but this time with a new look that every generation could blend in. It will be in an informal outdoor setting, with many joyful activities (live music, games, lucky draw with nice prices such as air tickets etc.).
Movie Night Invitation: On the 29th of October 2010, Nuffic Neso Thailand will host a special movie night for the alumni. The movie is based on the bestselling Dutch novel "komt een vrouw bij de dokter" also known as "A women goes to the doctor".
On the 22end of June, The Embassy of the Netherlands co – hosted a combined Business cocktail event together with the NTCC (Dutch Chamber of Commerce) and the NAAT (The Netherlands Alumni Association Thailand).
Neso Thailand is organizing an alumni activity to Khao Yai. The programme consist of a 1 night stay in Khao Yai, cycling trip to PB vineyards, meeting on the role of alumni in Study in Holland promotion, and a visit to the most beautiful waterfalls in Khao Yai national Park.

On 11 November 2010, Nuffic Neso Thailand co- hosted a dinner talk together with IHS institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies.

This conference is organized by Nuffic and commissioned by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Applicants should have finished a study programme in the Netherlands no longer than 6 years ago and can apply for the conference at www.hollandalumni.nl from 1 March to 31 March 2011. A call for applications including the application procedure and eligibility criteria will be sent to all our alumni on March 1st.
On April 29, 2011 Nuffic Neso Thailand invited 6 young alumni to have dinner with Mr. Han Dommer, Head of Education Promotion Department of Nuffic, the Hague, who had a short visit to Bangkok. The dinner took place at Shangri-la hotel which aims to introduce some young alumni to Nuffic’s management and provide the opportunity for them to give feedback to Nuffic regarding their experiences about Study in Holland.
