On Saturday, 18 June 2011 a group of 52 participants gathered for a visit to Baan Hollanda site. The main purpose of this visit was to introduce Baan Hollanda or Holland House Information centre which was built in 2010 from the funds provided by the Netherlands Government as a Royal Gift from Queen Beatrix to celebrate 400 years relationship between Thailand and the Netherlands in 2004.
We had a great tour, leaded by Dr. Hans van Santen, a Deputy Head of Mission from the Netherlands Embassy together with Ms. Hatairat Estrella Montien who is a museum advisor and also a Netherlands Alumni herself. After the tour through the site of Baan Hollanda, we all had a buffet lunch together on a barge along Chao Praya river.
This trip had given an opportunity to all alumni to know more about the relation history of two countries, furthermore it was a great platform for them to share knowledge on history among each other.
